Instructions for Creating an Index for a RTF File

After downloading an RTF file (see Files Info) for one of my families, you can create an index for it as follows:

The RTF descendants'-list files have the names marked for an index to be created in Microsoft Word.

1. Make any changes you wish in the document.
2. Move to the end of the document
3. Do INSERT-BREAK-PAGE
4. Do INSERT-INDEX AND TABLES-(pick format desired for the index)

Part 1. allows one to create a book with one's own comments to distribute to family members.

To see the indentation in an RTF file, set View-Print Layout in MS Word or print the file in MS Word.
