Instructions

All words entered will be searched as if there were a logical OR between them; i.e., all web pages containing any of the entered words will be found. For example, searching for John L. Roper will find all pages with John OR L. OR Roper. I do not have family trees on-line. You must download gedcom files and descendants'-list files and open them to get the family trees.

Information files:

If your search gives you a web location such as http://www.roperld.com/captlittle.htm, click on the link and go to that page.

Other Families than Roper or Franklin:

If your search gives you a web location such as http://www.roperld.com/locations/miville.txt, then go back to the home page (http://www.roperld.com) and note that the families listed are Roper, Franklin and Other Families. Of course, Miville is in Other Families, so click on Other Families and then click on Miville in the list of families at the top of the page; this will take you to the page location for downloading the Miville files. After you download the descendants'-list file and unzip it, you can put it in MS Word and search for the item wanted.

Roper Families:

If your search gives you a web location such as http://www.roperld.com/locations/roperedg.txt, then go back to the home page (http://www.roperld.com) and note that the families listed are Roper, Franklin and Other Families. Of course, roperedg is in Roper, so click on Roper and then do a browser search for roperedg; this will take you to the page location for downloading the roperedg files. After you download the descendants'-list file and unzip it, you can put it in MS Word and search for the item wanted.

Franklin Families:

If your search gives you a web location such as http://www.roperld.com/surnames/franklnl.txt, then go back to the home page (http://www.roperld.com) and note that the families listed are Roper, Franklin and Other Families. Of course, franklnl is in Franklin, so click on Franklin and then do a browser search for franklnl; this will take you to the page location for downloading the franklnl files. After you download the descendants'-list file and unzip it, you can put it in MS Word and search for the item wanted.
